(Received October .'L L. 10 p.m.) LONDON, October 2. • A ' 'Russian' communique states :— • The Roumaiiians- won ground both sides of Kovel.
North of Orsova, wv successfully attacked the " Außtro-Hnngarians and captured the Oboroca height. Tho enemy gained h- footing on the right bank of tlic Danube, south of Bucharest.
