LONDON, October 2.
A correspondent at the French Headquarters states:—Having no strategic reserves, the G-ermans arc forced to hurl their unhappy soldiers from ono battlefield to another without proper time for preparation. By pushing this method to the utmost, tho enemy seem able to keep a sort of flying reserve, dozens of divisions appearing now <ori the Somme, now at Verdun, and ■ now at Galicia; but it appears that Austria and Germany have 'actually in reserve' no more than three divisions each, compared with Germany's' eight, divisions on tho Western front alone prior to Verdun.
