(Received September 30, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, September 29. Sir Douglas Haig reports:—^ .' This morning we captured a. strongly defended farai, Kouth-wcst of Lesars. Tho night was quiet on the greater part of the front. The Germans heavily shelled tho positions wo captured northwards of ThiepvaL Our aeroplanes northward of Ypros and south-east of Bapaumo obsorved a huge explosion, like an ammunition dump blown up; tho smoko ascended 9000 feet.
