BRITISH "SMART IN ATTACK."'
LONDON, September 28. , An account of the fighting on the Somme, issued by the commander of a .German corps,, which was captured in a redoubt, says: "The British infantry are smart in attack, largely because of their immense confidence in their grea; artillery- superiority. They show great tenacity in defence, and small parties onoe established with machine guns in the corner of a wood or in a group of houses are very difficult to dislodge.' 5
