TIN WALD TOWN BOARD
The monthly meeting of tho Tiuwald Town Bou I'd was hold last evening. Present: Messrs. T. Williams, W. la. iie-11, H. MiJhduunp W. Hopwood, and T. Wilson.
Mr T. Williams was unanimously reelected chairman.'
Mr H. Carpcndale interviewed the Board in regard to a reduction of valuation'on his property. —Tho chairman informed Mr Curp'endale that the Board had no power to reduco tht valuation this year, but if application was made to the. Valuer-General, no doubt tho alteration would be made.—. Air Carpendn.lc also referred to the matter of trenches being made across footpaths.—The eh aij 'in an replied that tho matter would have the ■attention of tho Board.

Messrs Williams, Bel!, and Wilson wore appointed to inspect and report on a suitable plnce !or a dumping - ground for rubbish.
Tho matter of inspecting footpath crossinos at coj-ners of streets, and having repairs carried out when necessary, wii,s left in the hands oi: the Works Committee.
ft was decided to employ tho inspector, together with an assistant, to enforce, the by-law regulating tho pace <v motor traffic, and also to prevent cycling on the footpaths. It was decided to place on record tho valuable services reudorod the Board by the retiring members, Messrs Hampton and Teppott. Accounts amounting to £34 19s 9d were ptussed for payment. i
