The weather cleared during last night, and. the early morning was fine, though the sky later became overcast. The earlier part., of the afternoon was sunny and "■ pleasant., .The maximum reading of the thermometer was 53.3 degrees, and the -'rainfall for the 24 hours' ended 0 a.m. .was two points. The Governmen.t Meteorologist's foreca*st to-day was as follows: —The indications are. for variable and strong breezes, but westerly moderate to strong prevailing temporarily. The weather will probably prove cold and showory. Barometer unsteady.
