GERMAN DESIRE FOR PEACE.
GENEVA, September 27
Berlin messages, which the censorship has apparently allowed to be sent to Swiss newspapers, emphasise the seriousness of the military situation. One correspondent describes the Gorman people as a whole as having a desire for peace. Every family, he says, in the Empire has offered up a blood sacrifice, and there are very serious economic difficulties facing those who have been spared. Intrigues are flourishing, and nerrousnoss is dispiaved in many circles.
