During the past fortnight about 50 nurseries, including places of raisers of plants for sale, in and about Christchurch, have been registered under the Act of laat session. Conditional certificates are issued where trees or plants are found to bo diseased, and an unconditional certificate is issued if the area is found clean. It is now illegal for auctioneers, or other sellers of trees and plants, to sell trees or plants corain"- from nurseries or areas that are not registered.
