_ J. McGrenor was fined 5s for being found drunk in a public plftce on September 11.—Constable Moore made an application for a prohibition order against defendant.—After hearing evidence, the magistrate decided to adjourn tlio caso for three months. Constable Alooro applied for a prohibition order against J. Scott.—The application was adjourned for three months. On the application of Constable Moore, a. prohibition order was granted against S. Gordon. Truancy Cases. On the information of the Truant Inspector (Mr J. A. Blank), H. Church | and S. McCrea were fined' 10s oach for failing to send their children to school. Driving Without Lights. Thomas Ireland was fined 5s and costs (7s) for driving a vehicle on a. road in the- Mitcham district after sunset without lights. Civil Case. M. McLean (Mr Acland) • claimed. from A. Searlo (Mr'Flesher) the sum of £106 12s for haulage of timber from > Cairnbrao to Highbauk. The defejidant stated that the sum, claimed was excessive and that he had been,put to • considerable inconvenionco owing to delay. Judgment was given for £38, with costs.
