Sir T. Mackenzie, in a speech at the Sailors' and Firemen's Union dinner, said that after tho war, owing to the changed conditions, particularly the increased cost of living, England would afford .an opportunity to tho Dominions possessing raw materials" ami food supplies to develop their manufacture and hold their own against any competition.
