FLOODS IN VICTORIA
SERIOUS RESULTS IN GOULBURN

Owing to the floods, there is little "hope of the levels (?) on the Lower Goullmm standing against the tremendous volume of water in the Goulburn River, and, when it goes, at least 150 000 acres will be inundated. / All the townships pn the Lower jfOouHmrn are wholly or partly under \water. V One of Chinniok's sons was found 18 hours later,, in a- tree. His little sister was with him shortly before the rescue, but fell into the river and was drowned
A message on Tuesday stated : —At Seymour, the wife and four children of n man named Chinnick were sheltering on the roof of their house, when it collapsed. The father and children wore drowned, find h©. wife was rescued . unconscious, with her dead baby clasped in her arms.
