The monthly meeting of the Chertsey Red Cross Society was held on September 12th, and the following articles wers sent to Ashburton :—lO pairs pyjamas, 6 singlets, 9 shirts, 2 dressing gowns, 1 jacket, 1 vest, 14 pairs of socks, 2 pairs mittens, 30 manitail bandages, 50 binders, 110 triangular bandages. Ihe Cherteey school children sent tho following:—? knitted face clothe, 6 towels, "6 medicine cloths, 5 Khaki handkerchiefs, 6 treasure- bags, 3 towe, medicine cloths. I
