REDUCED CRIME IN BRITAIN.
(Australian ann N.Z. Cable Service). LONDON, September 26. The prisons report for 1915 shows that the prisoners sentenced totalled 6-!,000, compared with 114,000 in 1914. The decrease is ascribed to the enlistment of habitual petty offenders and the liquor restrictions.
