CAPTURE OF FRICOURT.
800 PRISONERS TAKEN.
The High Commissioner reports:— A French official report states:— We reached the borders of Fricourt, taking the village in the night.
We penetrated Combles cemetery, reaching the borders of the village, one detachment establishing itself in the south-west trench and making prisoners of a German company. ■
: German counter-attacks on new .trenches between the 'Bbthune Road and tho Sommo were repulsed. .'•'■■<
We took 800 prisoners
