RECRUITS' NAMES NOT FOR
PUBLICATION
Tiio officer in charge of the ChristchuTch .Recruiting Office states that instructions have been received from Wellington that no information is tobe given to ■ tlie. newspapers regarding •the ■names of enlisted men, the filling up of quotas for various reinforcements, or the dates upon which enlisted men are to be called up to go into camp. No reason for the now regulations has been given from Wellington, and the local office has therefore no official explanation to make.
Under the new regulations, which carao into force yesterday, each man who enlists and passes the medical test is forthwith sworn in as a member of the Expeditionary Force.
We understand that in future we shall be able to publish at intervals only the names of men who have been medically examined for service and httve passed.
