Mr Thomas; Munitions Minister, states' that it is"necessary" that measures shall be. taken to still further in-, crease the output of munitions. 41 We must," he says, " intensify thtf winter output. My scheme is gigantic ; 300,000 women have already responded, and mountains of shells will arise"'
M. Pierre Dupey, ■ Director of the Technical Committee, states that England is now drawing level with 'France in her formidable output. It was impossible to publish •, figures,. but a eon-, Ktjfnt increase of heavy artillery nn ail the Allied fronts was guaranteed.
