Dominion Day was celebrated yesterday by a holiday in most or the Government offices in the city, and by * bank holiday, but otherwise there was very little demonstration. I'lajp were flown from a few of the flagstafts of the city,'including those of the Post Office, City Council Chambers, and Government Buildings. Tho schools of the city, as in form or -yoam, adopts a variety of methods ot ir-ocognising the anniversary.
