TJUBLIC NOTICE "W HEREBY GIVEN that it is tho intention of the Upper Ashburton Road Board,, at its next Ordinary Meeting, to "be hold on OCTOBER 7, 1916, to MAKE and LEVY a,SEPARATE RATE of Three-eighths of Ono Penny in the Pound, payable in one sum on October 21, 1916," on all Rateable Property within the No. (5) AHonton -Subdivision of the Upper Ashburton Road District, for the Year commencing on the First Day of April, 1916, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1917. An Estimate has been prepared showing tho proposed expenditure of the fiaid Rate and tfio matters required by the V(>9th Section of tho "Road Boards' Act, 1908,"; and together with tho Rate Book will bo open for inspection of all Ratepayers at tho Board's Office, West Street, Ashburton, every Tuesday and Saturday during office hours,-. up ■ to the 7th October.
