COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.
AUCKLAND, September 21. John Brown, caretaker of a garage m the city, was charged in the Police Court to-day with attempting to nmrder a returned soldier named Francis Kelly, on September 8. The caso arose as the result of a shooting affray in the garago, in which Kelly was wounded. Kelly .and his companion on the night in question gave evidence for the prosecution. Accused pleaded not guilty, snd was committed for trial. Bail was allowed.
