V/ILLJAM H. BROOKING
Mr William Henry Brooking, a well-known Ashburton resident, aged G9 years, who met with an accident 1 through foiling from a ■ drag ■■ opposite' the Commercial Hotel, on September 14, died at the Ashburton Hospital this morning. .Deceased arrived in Now Zealand Ml years ago.; 1' and for two years resided at Kaiapoi. .Ho then carae to Ashburton, whore ho resided ever since. Deceased took a
keen interest in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, and had been a member of the choir for a number of years. In former -years be took an active,, part in local-entertsiiiunents. Ho had. been a member of t.h-;>. Foresters' Lodgh since he was IB yearH of age. . Deceased leaves a widow to mourn her los£.
