T>UBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, it is the intention of the Upper Ashburton Road Board, at its next Ordinary Meeting, to be hold on OCTOBER 7, 1916, to MAKE and LEVY a SEPARATE'RATE of Three-eighths of One Ponn.y in the Pound, payable in one sum on October 21, 1916, on all Rateable Property within the No. (5) Allen ton Subdivision; of the Upper Aehburton Road District, for the Year commencing on the First Day of April, 1916, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1917. An Estimate has been prepared showing the proposed expenditure of the eaid Rato and tho matters required by the 109 th Section of the "Road Boards' Act, 1908,"'and together with the Rato Book will bo open for inspection, of all Ratepayers at the : Board's Office, West Street, Ashburton, every Tuesday and Saturday during office hours, up to the 7th October.
