ST. HELENS HOMES.
WELLINGTON, September 18. In vieyr of the high cost of living, the Public Health Department has decided to extend the principle of St. Helens Homes for" maternity cases. The advantages offered by these homes are to'be brought under the notice of Friendly Societies, arid Hospital Boards will be asked to consider the advisableness of establishing maternity wards at all hospitals.
