"THE ROSARY."

Although the big picture, entitled "The iiosary," which, will be screened at His Majesty'b Theatre.on Thursday evening, extends over seven reels of film and occupies practically. the entire programme, it does not allow the interest to flag throughout the screening. Tho s subject is developed in a religious fashion. Tho film ': is constructed from tho play by Edward- Rose, and is of the human and emotional type, that should appeal strongly to most people. I The period of the story extends over several generations, but the most dramatic part occurs when the hero believes his wife to' be unfaithful, when, as a matter of fact, she is endeavouring •to shield her erring sister. The bad man of the story foroes the sister to eavesdrop" and steal an important commercial secret from the hero, but tho, wife is blamed, find when ruin and disaster comes it is she who has to bear the brunt of the trouble. The end of th-e story, however, is satisfactory, and ultimate happiness is attained. ' The film comes from the studios of the " Selig" producers, who are respon-, sible for "The Spoilers" and other highly successful niotures. The latest " Gaumont Graphic " is also included I on the bill.
