SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS THIS EVENING.
After' Saturday,, night there werecomparatively -few people in Ashburton who had no~t visited the Cafe Chantant, bub in spito of tins fact, the de^ cision to oj>o:i tlie fair again last night proved a wise one,'for there was again.... a- largo attendance of' the public.' It was not ox Mooted that the takings--would equal those of, any of tho previous nights, and the'sum taken (ibo) must be" considered very satisfactory. 'Thoso in charge of the various stalls were kept busy all the evening, and' good sale? were made. Tho programme which was submitted on Saturday evening was again gone- through, so tua:j:. ■ patrons wore provided with plenty ot amusement. The side-show men _appeared to be very .successful in their; endeavours- to bring business theirwnv.
