800 PRISONERS TAKEN.

(Received September 18, 12.5 p.m.) ROME, September 17.

Tho enemy have been driven from the right bank of the 'Brenta, and counter-attacks were heavily defeated.

Our Alpini extended their. gains at Cauriol, and our Carso troops continued to press attacks against powerful lines. They stormed ajid captured further entrenchments, on a wide front, taking 800 prisoners.
