A Joint Commission for the revision of the Protestant and Episcopal Prayer-book has recommended sweeping changes in the marriage service; these will be considered at the triennial convention in October.

The changes include the omission of the bride's promise to obey, also the bridegroom's promise to endow tbe bride with all his worldly goods.
