The Spanish Cabinet decided on January 12 that if England sends a squadron to Tangiers to compel satisfaction for the recent murder of an Englishman by natives of Morocco Spain will despatch three war chips to reach Tangiers at the same time. The negotiations between the British Minister and the Sultan are closely shadowed by the French emissary, and it is very evident th it neither France nor Spain intend chat England shall gain any advantage in Morrocco if diplomacy can prevent it.
