Australian cargoes of wheat, new crop, early shipment, are offered at 31s l£d. One thousand tons of Australian butter ■ will arrive next week. Danbh butter is | quoted at 120s.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, h-«s received the following cable message, dated London, February 24. Frozen Meat.—Mutton market dull. Wellington mutton is worth 4d per 10. For New Zealand lamb there is a fair demand. Beef market firm- New Zea- , land beef, foreq Barters, is worth 3£<l per lb; other quotations unchanged- Last quotations—Hindquarters, 4d per lb. Tallow. —Market steady. Fine, edible 1 mutton tallow is worth 41s 6d per ewt; good beef tallow is worth 34s per cwt.
