PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Melbourne, February 22. Betting over the Autumn Meeting of the V.R.C. is restricted principally to doubles, Sprig o' Myrtle, Warpaint, and, Buccleuch being the favorite selection for New Market Handicap, coupled with Sb Hippo for Australian Cup. Prime Minister has been completely knocked back in the betting for the New Market Handicap, and offers of 100 to 3 met with no response. Ravenswing has received consistent support for the New Market x at 100 to 6, while Beverley promises to see a much shorter price.
