New Zealand Butter.
[PER ?R£BS ASSOCIATION.] I^nuon, February . Mr Perceval has. ascertained that unsound dairy-made butter is being sold in the market for the factorymade article. Weilington, February 9. The Agent-General has cabled to the Government, confirming the statement that injury is being done to the butter trade by the uneven quality of the consignments. He stated that ot butter shipments recently received the "Farmers'" and "Miseq"' lots have been found to he unsound, and owing to this the prospects of the trade are most discouraging, the action of shippers having proved" most detrimental tt it.
