Auckland, January 7. The Auckland Unionist Committee have received the following letter from Mr Joseph Ohamberain, M P. for Birmingham : - 41 Highbury, Moorgreen. Birmingham, November 12th, 1888. " Dear fir,—l have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter o£ the 7th ult., together with the enclosed p per, showing the view taken in Mew Zealand of the frish question. I hive never doubted thai tho loyalty and patriotism of tho ooloaies would be on the Bide of those wh) are endeavoring to maintain intact the great Empue which we have inherit d fom our forefathers, and I am glad to know that the doctrine of anarchy, which haa received some support in this country, finds no approval umongst the intelligent population of your city.—Believe me , yourßfaithfully, J chamberlain"
