[Per Pbbss assooiatioh.l ;», Rio de Janeiro, December 29 A manifesto published by the Provisional Government of Brazil declares that the recent meeting was trivial m character, and that the disturbers of the public peace were condignly punished. The Monarchy, it asserts, is friendless, and will never be restored. Government hopes to deliver, the ißepublic unharmed into the bands of the National Assembly next November.
