(FROM OUR OWK OOBREBPONDENT,) The annual treat In oonnecllod with tho Ohertsey district, aohool vrai held on Friday m the sohool playground. There was »b usual » very large attendance of parents and other friends of the aohool. Daring the afternoon race organised by the Sohool Committee, were engaged In by the youngsters with great spirit, and their efforts were rewarded by prizes of various articles both useful and ornamental. In this connection the Committee o»me well to the front, and worked zealously to prooipta the oomfort and amusement of children and viaitoraallke.Atftboatlo'olock an adjournment was made to the eohoolroom where an excellent tea was provided. Mr R. Oampboll, Chairman of Committee j presided, aod m the oourse of his address called attention among other .natters of scholastic interest to the ezoellent position whloh the sohool had agaiu taken at the ■ annual examination ; and concluded by urging on parents as a mattor of paiamoDnt necessity the regular attendance of thetr children at school.
