Mr H. E. Searle, the champion sculler of the world, who has been suffering from typhoid fever had a relapse yesterday morning. Late last night peritonitis supervened, and his medical advisers say that his condition is hopeless. The news of his serious illness has caused a sensation throughout Australia, and sympathy with the patient and his relatives is universal.
