Wheat quotations must be considered nominal until the southern markots are more settled. New Zealand chick tvheat 2s 2d to 2s 4d, milling sorts 3s to 3s 3d; oats, feeding sorts, 2s 3d ; milling, 3s Id nominal ; Cape barley, nominal, 2s 6d ; Blue Prussian peas scarce at ,4s 3d, inferior sorts are unsaleable ; potatoes, local grown, £4, best imported kinds 20s to 30s ; onions, locally grown, £12 ; butter, local dairy, 6d to 7d ; factory makes, 7d to 9d ; cheese, local makes, 5d to 6d ; New Zealand cheese, 6d ; bacon, 6d to 6£d ; New Zealand bacon, 9d to 9£d ; bams, lid to Is. Wheat — There is little business doing and prices have not steadied to the equivalent of English prices ; large lots at Port Adelaide are quoted at 3s Btl ; at out ports 3s 3d to 3s 4d ; some samples more or less tinged with rust are offering.
