The following eastern news is to hand :
A great fire occurred at Foochow on November 11th. Two thousand houses were destroyed, and forty-one lives were lost.
The steamer Denbury, which left Singapore for Hong Kong on Ootober 21st with 400 Chinese passengers, has not since beon heard of, and it is feared she has been lost.
