BANQUET TO MR BALFOUR.
Mr Balfour, Chief Secretary for Ireland, was entertained at a banquet at Glasgow last evening. There were 2700 persons present on the occasion. The Earl of Fife presided. The guest of the evening, responding to the toast of his health, said that Home Rule was the half-way house to separation. He characterised the agitation m favour of Scottish autonomy as a crazy crotchet;
