There was an exciting competition, foreign buyers taking the bulk of the new clip. Melbourne, November 28. At the wool sales to-day, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company offered 6426 bales, of which 3003 were sold. Ihere was a large attendance and competition was animated, late rates being fully maintained. No farther advice has been received of" the rise recently reported from London, which is already fully discounted. The highest prices obtained were :— Greasy merino, Is l£d ; greasy lambs, Is o|d ; greasy pieces, Is ; greasy crossbreds, Is o£d ; scoured crossbrede, Is Bid : pieces, Is 7£d. ——————
