A ROMANTIC STORY.
A romantic story c<imes from Kaloesa, the see of Cardinal L. de Haynald, Primate of Hungary. A short time ago a young student applied for admission as pupil to the priests' 1 seminary^ and, being duly' provided with examination certificates, wasat once received. The n.ew pupU led exactly the same life as the ' Other inmates of pie establishment, and showed 1 a marked disposition for study. A few days ago Cardinal Haynald visited the seminary, fjnd jo the garden met the new-comer, who bowed respectfully j but,' contrary .to custom did not kiss thp Cardinals hand. His Eminence not only noticed the omission, but it led him to examine the cancjidate-priest somewhat closer. The effeminate face of the young student turned scarlet uncjer the Cardinal's scrutinising gaze; whereupon the prelate uttered a few words m a low tone that caused the former to return quickly to the house. Five minutes afterwards this mysterious personage had left the premises, and has not since gone back.
