Auckland, November 22 At a meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association last night it wai decided that • representative team ehoald leave for the South on Monday, 23rd December, per Takapunc, arriving at Dunedin on Wednesday, and playing there on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Messrs Hollle, McCormJok, *nd F. P- Kissling were appointed a Selection Committee. Twenty two will be chosen to go into praotlce. Auckland is very weak m cricket this eeaaon, and little or bo interest u» evinced respecting the team. Captured. Wellington, November 22. Stephen Spaldlug an escaped lunatic, was captured about eight miles from Pozlto* yeiterday. Fatal Accident. Bukedin, November 22. George Hobbe, working ab Glen Q carry ©ear Hillside, was killed this morning by a fail of broken rock.
