Sydney, November 18 The steamer Centennial, which has sunk m tho harbor m August last by a collision with the schooner Kanahooka, has been raised and tawed fifty yards towards the shore. It is expected that the Cabinet will to-morrow consider the question of the duplication of the New Zealand cable. The Ministry, as a whole, recognise the desirableness of duiicating the cable, but some influential members of the. House are strongly averse to anything: savoring of granting protection against competition.
