Messrs John Bridge and Co. report under date Sydney, November I :— • Oats. — Market has d eclined further for this line, and it is now hard to make 2s 7d even for prime bright feed samples, 2s 4d to 2s 6d being range of value for other sorts ; seed are neglected at 2s 6d to 3s rod, which are nominal quotations. We do not see mucli thane; of any improvement just now. Wheat market is inactive, both for milling and feed qualities, prime Tuscan being hard to move off at 3s iod to 4s, while Hunter"s white and Pearl are neglected at 3s 6 I to 3s T%di Chick wheat is difficult lo sell at 3s 3d to 3s 4d for best, and 2s 6d to 2s iod for crushed* Hay — The sales at Darling Harbor this week have been dnller than ever, m fact it wa« wth difficulty the various sales were got thro gh, and seeing that we will have a M<j rush of stuff later, it is hard to foresee where prices will recede to. Oaten hay m bundles, best, made up to 5s 2d, medium to good 3s to 4s, m bales 3s 6d to 4s o.d, wheaten from 33 6d to 4s Bd, lt-cerne bales 23 to 2S 6d, .russes is iod to 25 7d. CiiyfeiF m itkct is at a standstill, except for really piiaae lots, £4 15s to £$ 5s being obtainable for this class, while the lower desciiptions are hard to work off from £2 upwards. Straw chaff sells from 2s 3d to 3s. STRAW.— -Very liltle forward at Darling Harbor this week, and even for what was offered buyers did not operate freely at, all, 23 3d to 2s rod being about range of values for good bright sorts m bundles. Potatoes.— Market is at a standstill for all descriptions, and owing to the Uvge quantities on hand we are inclined to anticipate bad results later on. Circulars, best, are quoted at £,$ to £5 s»i New Zealand to £4, without sale ; m fact they cannot be moved at any quotation, Onions have also suffered a decline, and are now quoted at to £26 for medium to best Frisco sorts ; the supplies are quite sufficient to keep the demand going, and we hardly think values cm recover again. Cheese. — Large supplies coming forward aud a fair demand exists, co'onial best quality worth from 5d to 6d : New Zealand, 6d to 6^d. Butter. — Supplies still large j demand fair. 1 niiHjbt dairy sorts 5d to 7<i, ■ factory 7d to 9/^d, New Zealand 4d 10 sj£d. Bacon, — Good enquiry existing, supplies limited. Best haod-cured 6d to 7d ; machine, dull of sale, 5d to 6d} New Zealand,. 9 Ito 9/^d ; Colodul hams, 8d to9l; New Zealand, is.
