(Received November 13, 1 p.m.) Sydney, November 13
The " Daily Telegraph" has an article commenting on the views, with regard lo Anatralian federation, of the New Zealand press which holds that New Zealand should sympathise with the movement as onlookers rather than participate m it. The "Telegraph" Bajs that to be outside the union means also being outside the benefits of the tariff of the union. It doubts whether there is another colony of the Australasian group to which intercolonial freetrade meanß more than it does to New Zealand. Access to the markets of New South Wales has been of wonderful assistance to New Zealand, and would not perfect freedom of access to all parts of Australia be one of the best possible things that could happen for the colony? It would be most shortsighted policy on the part of New Zealand if she refused to cast m her lot with the nation on the continent,
