The annual to a meeting m oonneotton with the Wakanul Weuleyan Ohurcb waa hold last Wednesday ovoiing m the main schoolroom, the whole proceedings being moot enjoyable. A. nannptaoua repait was provided £ jr the friends and visitors by the following ladies, viz, ; Meadameß S Wright, JLeidley, Trevurza, Oole, and Riokard, who were assisted In waiting upon thair nutneroua patrons by the Misses Bourke, Patterson, Daiton (2), Trt-vutz*, Parker, and OoK After full jastioe bad been done to the varied and appetizing delicacies provided and dispensed by fftlr handa, tbjo tables were pleared away and the usaa! after meeting waa proceeded with. This was ably presided over by the Bay Mr Rattle, superintendent ministjr of the Aehoarton circuit, anl interesting aad instructive addr bbob were delivorod by the chairman and the Revs Bootbroyd and Burr owes. M> Load ley, treasurer for the trustees of the church, Bubnaitted the balanoo-sbeei, which disclosed a Batlsfaotory degree or progress m majors Qnanoial, nil announced thjat the ioor>aß>d attendance at the onuroh BQrvipoa negenaltatod the provision o^ more accommodiHon - a very satisfactory uiga. The musioal part of the programme wan m ohttrgo of Air F. W. B»tetnan, the leader of th? newly-organised Ohnroh choir, and Mlbs Bourke, the Ohqrqh organint, tffjolontly presided at tbe Inatrnment. A number of pleoes from the new edition of Sankay'a hymns were sang by the choir, the gem of the evening being '•The OheistUn'a Qood-nlght," sung »t the pJpjiß, filQlofi, eqqdered by Mies Annie Da|ton and' Wfe Elfttet^tQ, yrato mciph »pprf plated by the «ualenoe. Votes of thanks to the Sad(ei who had provided the tea, proposed In a most felioltoni spoeoh by Me Hogg, to tbe oholr, proposed by Mr Oolllna, to tho speakers, proposed by Mr Lill, to the young ladies wbo qollooted Dnbaorfptions for the bachelors' table— via, Mlaa Bourke, Mian L'zzle Daiton, Mlbb 0.
