The usual inßpeotion parade of the Aehbur'ton Volunteers was held at the Drill Shod last evening. Colonel Bailey was Inspecting Officer, and Major Douglas and Sergeant. Major Jones were also present. There was % good master of the Rifles, but only a modarati muster on tbe part of the Guards. After tht inspection the companies were put through s variety of movements, inoluding some useful skirmishing drill. At the conclusion of the parade the Rifles held a smoke oonoert to celebrate the opening of their new Orderly Rooqa. Captain Dolman presided, and among the guestß present were Colonel Bailey, Mojor Douglas, Captain and Adjutant Fooks, SargtMajor Soott, Sergt-Major Jones, and QGloera of the Guards. At a meeting of the Tailora'and Tailoreaaes' Union held at Ohristohuroh last night numerous offers were received from outßide Canterbury towards supporting thoße on strike from the Kaiapoi faotory.
