LABOR ORGANISATIONS.
(Received November 6. 12 noon.) London, November 6
Twelve thousand men employed m cement works on the Medway, and thousands of unskilled workmen m the Severn Valley, are forming Labor Unions. The last 200 ■• blacklegs" at, the Docks have been dismissed, receiving £4 each m lieu of notice. All of them have joined the Union, paying fines, of half-a-guinea to a guinea. .There has been friction at Tilbury, and the lightermen had everything arranged for a strike m |;he afternoon^
Tbe Dock Compaoies virtually yield everything, seeking compensation m the new tariff. '
It is probable that payment for the dinner-hour will be universally conceded to laborers. ' ■ ' '■
The men employed on twenty-one wharves at Wappiog will strike unless they receive 6d instead of gd an hour. , : Two hundred and fifty " blacklegs " working on a wool floor at the London Docks were forced to pay half-a-guinea entrance fee, although 1 they had previously joined the Union through trickery. '
The dockers refuse to clean ships employing non-Uuion crews.
A National Trades Council, em bracing delegates from all Unions, will be formed shortly, and there will be a triumphal procession m Hyde Park on Sunday.
