Tbe Dock Compaoies virtually yield everything, seeking compensation m the new tariff. '

It is probable that payment for the dinner-hour will be universally conceded to laborers. ' ■ ' '■

The men employed on twenty-one wharves at Wappiog will strike unless they receive 6d instead of gd an hour. , : Two hundred and fifty " blacklegs " working on a wool floor at the London Docks were forced to pay half-a-guinea entrance fee, although 1 they had previously joined the Union through trickery.
