SDRVBTOBS 1 BSFOBI The Surveyor's report w«fl read as follows :— 1; Boundary Road. — We have Inspected the portion of this road between Ford's oreek and Ford's road, and find that to make the road passable for traffic a lot of work would have to be done by making large drains on both sides of the road and patting the stuff on to the centre, similar to other roads m the district. It would be a very good time of the year just now to do any work of this kind ao the springs are low, and on that account the wots: could be done cheaper. 2. Contracts, — fhe contractors for metalling part of the Longbe&ch road and forming Terrace road are proceeding with the work. The other contracts let at last meeting have not been commenced. With regard to the metalling of Watertou new load we would recommend that the work itand over till aboat January, as the water In the gravel pit la very high and the contractor to obtain shingle now would have to open up a new place. 3. Maintenance — The maintenance man has been engaged m repairing toads, fords and bridges. His diary lies on the table for your inspection. It was resolved to have part of tbe Longbeaoh road near Friaby'a metalled from the side drain. POPLAR BOAS. Mr Grfgg aaked for permission to take 1 water race across the Poplar load. Permission was granted on the undtr■tandlng that Mr Grlgg keep the same In piopei repair. wilsoh's cutting. It was resolved to have a little more work done to this ontting. SMALL BE&DS' NDIBANOB. It was resolved to give 2s per hundred for eggi and heads of small birds. ACOOUKTS. After passing accounts and transacting routine basinets the Board adjourned.
