Timartt, October 80
The TimuruShow, held yestorrlfty and tcS day, was favoured with fine weather, and a fairly good attendance of the general public, inoluding many visitors from Aahburton. There was a magnificent show of sheep and a very creditable show of horses, but with these two exceptions the Show could soaroely be called a sucogsb. The show of merino sheep was particularly good, and many of the loagwool classes also presented* a very creditable appearanae. Messrs MoMaster took the champion priza for merinos, and Messrs Little Bros, that for Border Leioesters. Mr J. Bonifant, of Wakanui, took a number of first prizes, as well as the champion m Bng- ! hah Loioesters, and Messrs Bruce and MoLaron carried oil the ohampion Lincoln prize. There were some good quality draught horses shown, as well as a few good light horses]) The oafctle were nothing to boast oi, and the pigs wore poor indeed. The produce Bhed contained a nice display of hams and baoon, a few oheosos, and a very creditable show of butter ; but, beyond this, thero was nothing worthy of mention m connection with dairy produoe.
