Koad near TrunloyHill: Resolved to shingle about 40 chains of thiß road. Road near Lake Butlor: Pesolved to fora and drain about 40 ohaina of tbla road. Road nc r M-unt Possession on the Clont Hills eldo : Resolve J to nuke a portion of the new road at the Booky Point with a vi iw of its being continued a'ons the foot of tl c bills at some future t'm<); Monrt Pomera Sta ion Road : Resolved to auingle about sixteen ohaina of thii road. Mount Somors Tramway Road : Resolved <o shingle about twelve chains of this road. The Alford Fora t and Ashburton Main Roads were ordered to be repaired . Permission was granted to Mr Bimpßon to erect fea'eon road near seofcion 26966. Correspondence : (1) From NewZoaland Loan »nd Meromtiie Agenoy Company, stating that certain eeotions had beea'sofd to Meiers Ktephetsoa, Rutherford, "Gook and Ellen, and usking that their nagwabe pat on the roll. — Agreed to. (2) (from M?b»m Walker an I Harper re road at Bandy Knob — Received. (3) From th« Treasurer, stating tbat the sum of £31 fis has been remitted to the Board's oredit.— Received (4) From the Ashburton County Oouooil, agreeing to gravel pits being opened on the Spriagbnrn Tramway reserve providod tbe Board fenoed them. — Agreed to. (5) From the nme, asking to 1 c furnished with a list of gravel reserves planted by the Board oat of fundi provided by tho OuDnoll aa the Counoil proposed to look after them m the matter of keeping the fences lv repair . Mr Milne applied for a crossing to hii plaoa. — Agreed to. M« Peach reported having seen Mr Shury on the matter of exchange on oh> qaea, and that it vr>s not true that ox* ohange was remitted to some people a> reported at the annnal meeting of rate* pavers, Foot Bridge: The Overseer was instructed to prepare a plan and estimate for a foot bridge over Buyer's Stream, and to forward the same to the County Council and ask thorn to oreot the bridge, Mr Chapman proposed, and it was earned that a general rate of one halfpenny m tbe £ be made on all ratiable property m the district for the period commencing April Ist, 1889, and coding March 31et, 1890. p tyable ia one sum on November 11th, 1889. Leave of abscnoi for two months was granted to Mr Chapman. The Chairman waa instructed to make arrangements for the sale of the cottage and pile driver. The pay sheet amounting to £11 p On 1 Id was paised for payment and the Board I adjourned.
