» An adjourned meeting of the above wu bold on Monday :— Present Messrs Hardy (Chairman,) Shannon, O, Dlxon, Llddy, Hirvey and Oxley. The master reported the average attendance for the past month, 161/4; pait week 1712; highest attendance 191; No. on roll 207 5 admitted daring the month, 11. lie also reported that the aohool buildings required renovating Intlde and out. It was resolved to have the mutter of providing orloketfug materials for the obildren m the handa of Messrs Dlxon and Oxley. The Chairman reported that the sam of s ! xtaon shillings had been recovered from t.be boys who broke the aohool windows. It was resolved not to depart from the decision of the late Committee, and that the school grounds cou'd not be ased by the Rskala cricket olnb. A letter was reoalved from the Board, to the eflfaot that Mfsa Bllton ooald not be appointed bb infant mistress. Sixteen applications wore received for the position of Infant mistress. As Miss Belton was not an sppHoaut this time, it was unanimously rosolved on the motion of Mr D;xon seoonded by Mr Shannon to reoonxneod Miss Seymour. Attention was called to an unpleasant ppidemlo running throngh the aohool, and the Oahlrman snd Mr Oxley were pppqlnted to make fall ecqalry Into the matter, and take aotlon. Aoooants were passed for payment and the Committee adjourned.
